FRIDAY: Stewardship and Priorities

1) Of his finances.

a) That the Lord would meet needs and prosper him that he may be able to bless others.

1 Cor 9:14 In the same way, the Lord has commanded that those who preach the gospel should receive their living from the gospel.

2 Cor 9:8-11 And God is able to make all grace abound to vou. so that in all things at all times,  having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. As it is written: "He has scattered abroad his gifts to the poor; his righteousness endures forever." Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.
 

b) That he would set an example to the believers in the use of his finances.  That he would live simply, generously and without anxiety--trusting God to meet his needs (Matt. 6:25-34)
 

"Be very careful, then, how you live--not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity because the days are evil" (Eph. 5:15)
 

Luke 12:35-36 "Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning, like men waiting for their master to return from a wedding banquet, so that when he comes and knocks they can immediately open the door for him.

Luke 12:48 From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded: and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.
