they have purchased the secret recipe to two of Bertha's famous cakes:
"The Lemon-filled Earthquake Quake" and the "Sure to Fail No Fail Fudge
Frosting Cake". They will be marketed under their new "Bertha's Bakery"
Label. A massive advertising campaign is scheduled utilizing the
slogan: "Bertha's Bakery: Cakes to liven up any party".
Her cakes are legendary. The famous
Lemon Filled Earthquake cake (be sure to get the triple layered version
for the full effect) is guaranteed to bring the house down as the fault
develops in the middle of the cake to the amazement of all. An added
plus is how it slides right off the plate onto the lap of an unsuspecting
guest at your party. Buy plenty of the cakes for the food fight that follows.
The Sure to Fail No Fail Fudge Frosting
Cake comes with a hammer and chisel (no extra charge). Your guests
will be amazed at how this "no fail" frosting can become hard as concrete
in a matter of minutes. Have a contest to see who can chisel the
frosting off the cake first.
Recently taste tests were held at various
locations in Sioux Falls South Dakota including: TJ Maxx Fridays,
Bumblebees, and at the Spring Bazaar at Saints and Sinners Church.
Taste testers were amazed by both the taste and the entertainment value
of the "Bertha's Bakery" Cakes.
In related news, the Dow Jones Industrial
Average surged well past the 11,000 mark today largely due to the increased
activity in Sara Lee Stock.
