Roll the opening credits: "Leave it to
Diva. Starring: Hugh Beaumont, Barbara Billingsley, Tony Dow
and Myra Hutchison as ... The Diva!"
"Nick at Night" announced today that they
are going to remake some of the classic TV shows and update them for the
new millenium. The first attempt will be a remake of "Leave it to
Beaver". But as they were unable to sign Jerry Mathers to a contract,
they decided to go in a different direction. After an extensive casting
process they decided on an aspiring "diva" to take the show in a whole
different direction. When asked for his reaction, Tony Dow said,
'Well, Gee.... I kinda miss the beav... but I think I could get used to
it kinda, maybe...at least it's a paycheck."
Myra (The Div) is very excited about the
series. "Barbara Billingsley has always been my role model.
I've always wanted to be just like Mrs. Cleaver."
Casting a female lead character will take
the series in a whole new direction. Rumors abound as to the plot
twists for the coming season. But we have learned that there will
be an on again/ off again romance between the Diva and Eddie Haskel.
We'll all be watching with great anticipation to see how that turns out!
