Tim Vickerman has always had a love for
pickles, but this week he put that love for pickles to good use in enterting
the Gedney Pickle Chew-A-Thon. Along with over 100 pickle lovers
he set out to eat more pickles in an hour than any other contestant.
The winner of the contest was to be awarded a lucrative advertising contract
for the company as he or she would become the new company spokesperson
on a major advertising blitz.
Tim was able to down over 600 pickles in
that first hour, and he wouldn't quit. He just laughed and said,
"you ain't seen nuthin' yet". He continued to to down jar after jar
of pickles. And by evening he had consumed the entire stock of the
Gedney Warehouse much to everyone's amazement.
There is an ongoing investigation, however.
It is rumored that Tim may have been involved in the preparation of a new
diet pill at the Eli Lilly plant where he works. Some have suggested
that he smuggled some of the experimental pills out of the state of Indiana
and brought them with him on his trip to Minnesota for the contest.
Could this be true? Could it be the reason for his incredible ability
to down jar after jar of pickles without effort? Well we may never
know. But one thing is sure, he has a permanent case of pickle breath.
Even so, he was declared the winner of the contest and is currently working
on a series of commercials for the company.
The commercials will be airing soon.
Stay tuned. You will especially want to see the commercial that will
be airing during next year's superbowl. Tim will be taking on Jesse
Ventura in a pickle eating contest.... it will be a real treat!
