Grandpa Syverson's classic Skunk Stories are legendary.  At the urging of the grandchildren, Grandpa Syverson finally put them into print.  This soon to be classic book will be enjoyed by all ages.  In one of the stories, entitled Grandpa's Skunk Surprise, Grandpa takes the grandchildren on a Skunk Hunt.  They bring the gunny sack and set out on their way.  To Grandpa's surprise, they actually find a skunk...and the eager grandchildren try to get him to run up to the skunk with the sack to capture it.  Meanwhile Grandpa is trying to divert their attention to other things.... how does it end?  Well we don't want to ruin the ending for you, so you'll have to buy the book to find out.  Then grab a diet pepsi with a shot of surge (It gives it a little extra kick) and read away.

St. Theodore's Basilica Press expects this to be nearly as big as their first two releases, Lutefisk and Lefse for the Soul, and Y2K RUOK?.  The Laura Ingalls WIlder Museum in Walnut Grove will be the site of a booksigning this week as the long anticipated book is finally released.  Sparing no expense, St. Theodore's Basilica Press has booked Roy Syverson for a Tuba Recital, he will be playing several classical pieces such as "Flight of the BumbleBee" and will be joined by the Tracy-Milroy High School band for a rendition of the 1812 Overture complete with Cannons and bells.  He has made it clear that these pieces will be played in the right key....and very beautifully and that he will be resisiting the temptation to play Jingle Bells.
